About Chamonix
Chamonix is the alpine capital of Europe and has a reputation that attracts the more hard-core of both winter and summer alpine sports.
In the northern part of the French Alps, Chamonix is close to the borders of France, Italy and Switzerland. It is a beautiful, traditional town with a rich history which revolves around alpine climbing.
The view from anywhere in the town is nothing short of breathtaking. Dramatic peaks, including the 4807 metre Mont Blanc, surround the valley and glaciers fall to within 200 metres of the town.
